Playing back sources from external devices

1 Press [AUDIO IN/DIGITAL IN].

Each time you press [AUDIO IN/DIGITAL IN], the display changes to “AUDIO IN” or “DGTL IN” in the display window.

“AUDIO IN” is for selecting the device con- nected to the [AUDIO IN] terminals.

“DGTL IN” is for selecting the device con- nected to the [DIGITAL IN] terminal.

You can also select the connected device as the source by repeatedly pressing [SOURCE] on the main unit.

2 Start playback on the connected device.3 Adjust the volume or the sound quality for your preference.

You can also operate your digital broadcast sat- ellite and video cassette recorder using the remote control of this system. Refer to pages 47-49.

Selecting the signal gain

You can select the gain of the signal from the [AUDIO IN] terminals. Use the initial settings for normal operation. If the sound is too small or too loud, change the settings.

1 Press [AUDIO IN/DIGITAL IN] repeatedly to select “AUDIO IN” in the display window.

2 Hold down [ENTER].

“LEVEL 1” or “LEVEL 2” appears in the dis- play window.

3 Press [ENTER] repeatedly to select “LEVEL 1” or “LEVEL 2”.

Each time you press [ENTER], the display toggles between “LEVEL 1” and “LEVEL 2”.

The signal gain in “LEVEL 1” is lower than that in “LEVEL 2”.

The display returns to “AUDIO IN” in approx- imately 5 seconds.
