Playing Back Tapes

Playing Back Tapes

Use only type I normal tapes.

The use of tapes longer than 120 minutes is not Loading a TapeAuto ReverseRewind/Fast Forward recommended, since characteristic deterioration may occur and these tapes easily jam in the pinch roller and the capstan.

Loading a Tape

1 Press 0 EJECT to open the

Auto Reverse

 

 

 

Press TAPE/REV.MODE repeatedly

REV. MODE

 

to select the desired playback mode.

TAPE

 

Tape Playback: playback on one side of the tape only.

– 13 –: both sides are played once.

Manual background:both sides are played repeatedly up to 10 times until you press 7.

Rewind/Fast Forward

tape deck door.

EJECT

2Insert a recorded tape with the open side down.

1 Press 4 or ¢ to rewind or fast forward the tape.

“REW” or “FF” appears on the display.

2Press 7 to stop rewinding or fast forwarding.

SEARCH/TUNING

STOP/CLEAR

The tape stops automatically at the end of the rewinding or fast forwarding.

3 Close the tape deck door.

The TAPE indicator appears on the display.

Tape Playback

1Press TAPE/REV.MODE.

2Press 8/2 or 3/8 to select

the playback direction.

Playback starts.

“PLAY” appears on the display and the playback direction indicator moves to show the tape direction.

3 To stop playback, press 7.

To interrupt playback

Press the last selected 8/2 or 3/8. “PAUSE” appears on the display.

If you press the button opposite to the last selected direction, playback starts in the reverse direction.

To resume playback, press 8/2 or 3/8 again.
