Playing in slow-motion

During this function, when you press PAUSE , the next nine still pictures appear on the TV screen and playback pauses. When you press PLAY , nine still pictures continuously appear on the TV screen.

You can enjoy advancing the picture frame-by-frame by pressing PAUSE during pause. Each time you press PAUSE , the picture advances one frame.

You can also use the SHUTTLE knob for slow-motion play.

1.Press PAUSE to pause playback.

2.Turn the SHUTTLE knob to the right to play in slow-motion. Turn the SHUTTLE knob to the left to play in slow-motion in reverse (DVD only). You can adjust the playback speed by turning the SHUTTLE knob.

The unit can display a list of the still pictures, and playback a disc in slow-motion. You can view video in more detail by using these functions.

To display still pictures [STROBE]

1Press PAUSE at the point you want to view as a continuous photograph.

2 Press and hold PAUSE for more than 1 second.

Nine still pictures appear on the TV screen and playback pauses.

To cancel strobe play

Press and hold	PAUSE for more than 1 second.

To playback in slow-motion [SLOW]

1 Press PAUSE , then press SLOW(+)	or SLOW(–) .
To play in slow-motion, press SLOW(+)	, and to play reverse slow-motion (DVD
only), press SLOW(–) . First, the unit plays the slowest speed, and each time
you press these buttons, the playback speed increases. To return to normal
playback, press PLAY .
To pause slow-motion play
Press PAUSE .

NOTES

¦To cancel slow-motion play Press PLAY .

¦The sound is muted during slow-motion play.

¦Reverse slow-motion playback is not possible for a Video CD.
