For the speaker(s) whose size is set to “None”, the Speaker level and Delay cannot be set (“—”appears in the setting field).

However, when playing back a Dolby Digital disc, LFE singal is output from SUBWOOFER output even if

S. WOOFER shows “—”, allowing to activate a sub-woofer connected. In such case, adjust the output level using the level control on the sub-woofer.

3 Set the delay time using CURSOR 2/3.

1 Select [TEST TONE] using CURSOR 5/, then press ENTER.

The color of “TEST TONE” changes.

2 Select the desired speaker(s) using CURSOR

5/.

F.SP: Front speakers

After selecting the Test tone, if you do not move the cursor, the test tone is output from each speaker one by one.

In Test tone mode, if you move down from

“R.SP” position, the test tone continues to output from the rear speakers as long as is any position other than “F.SP” and “C.SP”. Similarily, if you move up from “F.SP” position, the test tone continues to output from the front speakers as long as is any position other than “C.SP” and “R.SP”.

3 Set the level using CURSOR 2/3 again, if necessary.

In Test tone mode, you hear pink noise, which includes all frequencies in the audible range, from the speakers. This is not a malfunction.

The test tone is not output from the SUBWOOFER output.

NOTE

To exit the test tone mode

Move to [TEST TONE] in the on-screen display and press ENTER until [TEST TONE] returns to its original color.

Delay of S.WOOFER cannot be set.

To exit the speaker level (or delay) setting mode

Move to [LEVEL] (or [DELAY]) in the on-screen display and press ENTER until [LEVEL] (or [DELAY]) returns to its original color.
