Basic Crepes

Makes 8
1½ cups plain flour, sifted
¼ teaspoon salt, sifted
3 x 59g eggs
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
30g butter, melted
1. Preheat t he crepe maker for
5 minutes.
2. In a mixi ng bowl, combine the fl our
and salt.
3. In a sepa rate bowl, whisk togethe r the
eggs, milk, vanill a and butter.
4. Stir th e liquid into the dry m ixture until
it forms a smooth, lump free b atter.
5. Pour 2 tabl espoons of mixtu re onto the
crepe maker plate and sprea d with
the provided spatula unt il it forms a
round crepe. Cook for 1 minute and
then flip with the spatu la and cook for
a further minute.
6. Remove the cre pe from the crepe
maker plate and top with your
favourite fillings.
7. To serve, fold e ach crepe in half and
then in half again to form a tr iangle.

Basic Pancakes

Makes 8
2 cups plain flour, sifted
¼ teaspoon salt, sifted
2 x 59g eggs
1½ cup buttermilk
½ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
40g butter, melted
1. Preheat t he crepe maker for
5 minutes.
2. In a mixi ng bowl, combine the fl our
and salt.
3. In a sepa rate bowl, whisk togethe r
the eggs, buttermi lk, milk, vanill a
and butter.
4. Stir th e liquid into the dry m ixture until
it forms a smooth, lump free b atter.
5. Pour 3 tabl espoons of mixtu re onto the
crepe maker plate and allow i t to form
a circle. Cook for 2 minute and the n
flip with the spatula a nd cook for a
further 2 minutes min ute.
6. Remove the pa ncake from the crepe
maker plate and top with map le syrup
and ice cream or lemon and s ugar.
