A 120 volt, 60 Hz., AC only, 15- or20-amp, fused electrical
supply isrequired. A time-delay fuse or circuit breaker is
recommended. Itis recommended that a separate circuit
serving only this appliance be provided.
This washer isequipped with apower supply cord having a
3 prong grounding plug.
To minimize possible shock hazard,the cord must beplugged
into a mating, grounded 3 prong outlet, grounded inaccordance
with local codes and ordinances. If a mating outlet is not
available, itis the personal responsibility and obligation of the
customer to havethe properly grounded outlet installed by a
qualified electrician.
If codes permit and a separate ground wire isused, it is
recommended that aqualified electrician determine that the
ground path is adequate.
Do not ground to agas pipe.
Check with aqualified electrician if you are not sure the
washer is properly grounded.
Do not have afuse in the neutral orground circuit.

GROUNDING iNSTRUCTiONS

For agrounded, cord=connected washer:
This washer must be grounded. Inthe event of a malfunction
or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk of electrical
shock byproviding a path ofleast resistance forelectric
current. This washer isequipped with a cord having an
equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The
plug must be plugged intoan appropriate outlet that is
properly installed and grounded inaccordance with all local
codes and ordinances.
WARNING: Improper connection of the equipment-
grounding conductor can result ina risk of electric shock.
Check with aqualified electrician or serviceman ifyou are in
doubt asto whether the appliance isproperly grounded.
Do not modify the plug provided with the appliance - if itwill
not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by aqualified
electrician.
For apermanently connected washer:
This washer must be connected toa grounded metal,
permanent wiring system, or an equipment grounding
conductor must berun withthe circuit conductors and
connected to the equipment-grounding terminal or lead on
the appliance.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Excessive Weight Hazard
Use two or more people to move and install washer.
Failure to do so can result in back or other injury.
IMPORTANT: Position the washer so that the rear of the washer
is within approximately 3 ft (90 cm) of its final location.
There are 4 bolts in the rear panel of the washer that support the
suspension system during transportation. These bolts also retain
the power cord inside the washer until the bolts are removed.
