TROUBLESHOOTING
BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE
If the grill does not function properly, use the following checklist before calling for service.
You should inspect the burners at least once a year or immediately after any of the following
conditions occur:

Clean wires and/or elec t rode by rubbing
with alcohol and clean s wab.
Wipe with dry c loth.
Make sure the wire i s connected t o
electrode assembl y .
Do other burners on the unit operat e?
Check to see i f ot her burners operate. If
so, check the gas orifice on t he
malfunctioning burner for an obs truction.
Burner flame is yel l ow or orange, i n
combination wit h the odor of gas. Refer to Clean Burner Tubes and Burner
Ports on page 15. If problem s t ill exist ,
please call 1-800-M y -Hom e.
Low heat with knob in “HI” position. Is the fuel hose bent or kink ed?
Is the grill in a dus ty area?
Is there adequate gas s upply available?
If it is only one burner t hat appe ars l ow,
does the orifice or burner need cleaning?
Is the gas suppl y or gas pressure low?
Grill won’t light when the c ontrol knob is
rotated.
