The Soil Settler soil removal system cleans by spraying a mixture of hot, clean water and detergent against soiled dishes.
When a cycle is started, the dishwasher fills with water to a level near the bottom of the overfill protector. This water is pumped through the rotating spray tower and spray arm, circulated through the filter system which collects food and soil, and pumped back through the rotating spray tower and spray arm.
Soiled water is then pumped out and replaced with clean water during a cycle, the number of times depends on the cycle being used.
To clean the Soil Settler filter screen
1.Wait at least 20 minutes after a cycle for the heating element to cool down.
2.Unload and slide the bottom rack forward. (Remove bottom rack if necessary to reach filter screen.)
3.Remove collected particles from the screen with your finger or a paper towel.
4. Return the bottom rack to its original position.
