Connecting the System

TAPE REC OUT/PLAY IN

Connect the audio output and audio input terminals on the cassette deck to the [TAPE PLAY IN] and [TAPE REC OUT] terminals respectively on the rear panel of the main unit.

AUX IN

Connect the audio OUT terminals on components such as VCRs to the [AUX IN] terminal on the rear panel of the main unit.

DIGITAL IN (OPTICAL)

Connecttheopticaldigitaloutputterminalsoncomponents such as digital tuners to the [DIGITAL IN (OPTICAL)] terminal on the rear panel of the main unit.

zSet the digital audio output on connected components to “PCM”.

SUB WOOFER PRE OUT

Connect a subwoofer (such as the optional SW-40HT) to the [SUB WOOFER PRE OUT] terminal on the rear panel of the main unit.

PHONES

Plug headphones equipped with a 3.5 mm stereo mini- plug into the [PHONES] jack on the front panel of the main unit.
