Playing a CD. As well as normal playback, you can use folder playback, program playback, random playback and repeat playback.

Load and play a CD.

zIf you have already loaded a disc, just press the [CDE] key to turn the system on and begin playback.

1Press the [L] key on the main unit to open the CD tray and then load the CD.

z Load the disc that the labeled side faces upwards and the disc sits snugly in the tray.

2Press the [L] key on the main unit to close the CD tray.

The “READING” message flashes while the unit is reading the information on the

CD.

3Press the [CDE] key.

z The system displays text information such as track names and album names for CD-TEXT discs.

z When you play the following types of disc, track numbers may not be displayed correctly.

Discs recorded in Mix mode*

Discs recorded in multiple sessions

Discs recorded in mixed formats of CD-DA format and formats that are not

music data

*Mix mode is a mode in which the CD-DA format is combined with audio file such as MP3, WMA and AAC.
