Ready light glows
steady red.
Transfer pictures to the computer (see page44), delete pictures from
the camera (see page 15), switch image storage locations (see
page 30), or insert a card with available memory (see page3).
Wait. Resume picture taking when the light turns off.
Change the image storage location to internal memory (see page30),
or use a different card.
Ready light is off or
glows steady
green.
Camera is operating normally.

The computer does
not communicate
with the camera.
Turn on the camera (see page2).
Install new batteries (see page 1) or charge rechargeable batteries.
Connect cable to camera and computer port (see page44).
Install the software (see page 43).
Disconnect the USB cable. Close all open applications. Re-install the
software (see page43).
Disconnect camera from the computer. Close all software applications,
reconnect camera.
Cannot transfer
pictures.
(The Add New
Hardware Wizard
cannot locate
drivers.)
Disconnect USB cable. (If using camera dock or printer dock,
disconnect cable and remove camera from dock). Close all open
applications. Re-install the software (see page 43).
