Picture orientation is
not accurate
■Set the Orientation Sensor to ON (see page33).
Flash does not fire ■Open the flash unit (page9).
■Check the flash setting and change as needed (page20).
NOTE: The flash does not fire in all modes.Storage location is
almost or entirely full
■Transfer pictures to the computer (page15).
■Delete pictures from the card (page13) or insert a new one.
■Change image storage location to internal memory (page31).
Battery life is short ■Make sure the correct battery type is installed (page60).
■Wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth before inserting a
battery in the camera.
■Insert a new or charged battery (page2).
You cannot take a
picture
■Turn camera off, then on again. Make sure the camera is not in
Favorites mode.
■Press Shutter button all the way (page5).
■Insert a new or charged battery (page2).
■Wait until the AF/AE indicator turns green before attempting to
take another picture.
■Memory full. Transfer pictures to the computer (page15), delete
pictures (page13), change image storage location (page 31), or
insert another card.
Error message appears
on EVF/LCD
■Turn the camera off, then on again.
■Remove memory card from the camera.
■Remove the battery and wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth.
■Insert a new or charged battery (page2).
■Get customer support help (page51).
Memory card not
recognized or camera
freezes with card.
■Card may be corrupted. Format card in camera (see page33).
■Use another memory card.
