8 Performing a Scan to PC (FTP) Operation

8.1 Basic Transmission

Note
The FTP server application must be running on the client computers.
With the Scan to PC (FTP client) operation, the following settings are
used and data is sent by FTP.
If necessary, specify the following settings from the FTP server
application on the computer at the receiving end.
Login: anonymous
Password: E-mail address of this machine
1Position the document(s) to be scanned.
2Press the [Fax/Scan] key.
HFor a copier, press the [Scan] key.
3Select an index, and then
select a recipient from the
list of one-touch keys.
Specify the recipient in any
of the following ways.
HSelect a recipient by
searching for it by name.
HType in the number of
the one-touch key for the
desired recipient.
