
AUDIO SIGNALS
Every time a button is pressed, an audio signal gives a positive confirmation of the operation. The audio signals can be turned off in section 2 of the setup menu (p. 72). Two audio signals are avail- able.

VIDEO OUTPUT
Camera images can be displayed on a television. The video output can be changed between NTSC and PAL in section 3 of the setup menu. North America uses the NTSC standard and Europe uses the PAL standard. Check which standard is used in your region to play back images on your television set.

When the shutter is released, a shutter sound effect will give a positive confirmation of the opera- tion. The sound effect can be turned off in section 2 of the setup menu (p. 72). Two shutter effects are available; signal 1 is mechanical and signal 2 is electrical. VOLUME
The volume of the audio signals and shutter FX can be increased or decreased in section 2 of the setup menu (p. 72). This affects the camera’s audio signals only and will not change the playback levels of an audio track.
AUTO POWER SAVE
To conserve battery power, the camera shuts down if an operation is not made within a certain peri- od. To restore power, press the

The supplied AV cable is used to view camera images on your television. To view images in the internal memory, remove the memory card from the camera.
1. Turn off the television and the camera.
| 2. Slide the terminal cover open. Insert the small plug of the AV |
| cable into the camera’s |
| straight, never at an angle. The arrow mark on the plug should |
| face the front of the camera. |
2 | 3. Plug the other end of the AV cable into the video and audio |
| input terminals on the television. The yellow plug is for the |
| video output. The white plug is for the monaural audio output. |

5. Change the television to the video channel.
6.Press and hold the playback button until the playback display is visible on the television screen. The camera’s monitors do not
activate when the camera is attached to a television.
