Placement,continued
Place the KAV-250pon a firm level sur- face, awayfrom excessive heat, humi- dity or moisture.Othercomponentsmaybe
placed on or aroundthe KAV-250p,since the KAV-250pis not particularly humsensi-
tive.
Youmayexperimentwith feet or conesas long as they are not permanentlyaffixed to the chassis.Anyunauthorizedmodifications to theelectronicsor chassiswill voidthewar- ranty.

WARNING
Donot removeor bypassthe groundpin on the endof the ACcord. This maycauseRFI (radio frequencyinterference)to beinduced into yourplaybacksystem.
The KAV-250phas superbregulation and doesnot require a dedicatedACcircuit. Avoidconnectionsthroughextensioncords or multipleACadapters.Highquality 15amp groundedACstrips are acceptable. High quality ACline conditionersor filters canbe usedif they aregrounded.

WARNING
Whenmakingconnections to this compo- nent or any other, makesure the power amplifier is Off andthe KAV-250pis in the Muteor Stand-bymodeMake.sure all cable terminationsareof the highestquality, free fromfrayedends, shorts,or coldsolderjoints.
Inputs
TheKAV-250pis equippedwith three pairs of single-endedinputs via RCAconnectors (S-1, S-2, andS-3/PR),onesingle-ended tape input via RCAconnectors(Tape), and onepair balancedinput via XLRconnectors (B-l). TheS-1andS-2inputs are standard single-endedinputs. TheS-3/PRhasa user configurableoption. TheS3/PRinput is ~et as a standardinput fromthe factory, andit maybe set for useas a surroundprocessor throughput.SeeOptional Configurations, on page8.
