HORIZONTAL VENT TERMINATION REQUIREMENTS
The venting terminals should not be recessed into a wall or siding.
A = 2” Clearances above grade, veranda, porch, deck or
balcony.
B = 12” Clearance to window or door that may be opened.
C = 9” (USA) Clearance to permanently closed win- dow.12” (CAN)
D = 24” Vertical clearance to ventilated soffit located above the terminal within a horizontal distance of 2 feet (60 cm) from the
E = 12” Clearance to unventilated soffit. F = 9” Clearance to outside corner.
G = 6” Clearance to inside corner.
