Replacing the front fan assembly

Attention

This section provides information on how to remove and replace the front fan assembly.

To remove or replace the front fan assembly, do the following:

1.Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the cover" on page 68.

2.Remove the front bezel. See "Removing and replacing the front bezel" on page 71.

3.Disconnect the front fan assembly cable from the power fan connector on the system board. See "Locating parts on the system board" on page 71.

4.The front fan assembly is attached to the chassis by four rubber mounts. Remove the front fan assembly by gently pulling it out of the chassis.
