To replace the battery

1Turn off the computer, or enter hibernation mode. Then disconnect the AC adapter and all cables from the computer.

If you are using a PC Card, the computer might not be able to enter hibernation mode. If this happens, turn off the computer.

2Close the computer display, and turn the computer over.

3Unlock the manual battery latch 1 . Holding the spring-loaded battery latch in the unlocked position 2 , remove the battery pack in the direction shown by arrow 3 .
