21. Battery Strength Indicator represents the amountof
remaining battery charge currently available in your phone.
When all bars are displayed in the battery icon, the phone’s
battery is fully charged. When no bars are displayed, the
phone’s battery is completely discharged or empty.
22. Earpiece lets you hear the caller and automated prompts.
Viewing the Display Screen
Your phone’s display screen provides a wealth of information
aboutyour phone’s status and options. This listidentifies the
symbols you’ll see on your phone’s display screen:

indicates your phone is using SSL (Secure Sockets
Layer) protocol for client/server communication.
shows your currentsignal strength. (The more lines
you have, the stronger your signal.)
shows a data call is in progress (red bars indicate
EVDO mode).
means your phone cannotfind a signal.
tells you a call is in progress.
indicates you are “Roaming”off the Nationwide
SprintPCS Network.
indicates you have new textmessages.
indicates you have voicemail messages. (Press and
hold to call your voicemail box.)
indicates you have new SMS Voice messages.
indicates you have new Picture Mail.
