Refrigerator compartment:
The refrigerator compartment defrosts automatical- ly. The water that forms on the rear wall drains into a reservoir at the back of the appliance and evapo- rates automatically through the compressor heat.
Freezer compartment:

Short vacations:
It is not necessary to turn off the refrigerator and freezer if you will be away for less than four weeks.
•Use all perishables.
•Freeze other items.
Long vacations:
If you will be away for a month or more:
•Remove all food from the refrigerator and freezer compartments.
•Turn off the refrigerator and freezer compart- ments.
•Clean the appliance. Refer to Cleaning.
•Leave the door open to prevent unpleasant odors. This will also keep mold from building up.
