Reverb
Parameter Range Description
Reverb Type 1 to 5 Selects the type of Reverb (see below).
Predelay 00 to 99 Controls the delay of the first instance of reverberation,
so that the dry signal stands out from the Reverb effect.
Reverb Decay 00 to 99 Controls how long it takes for the Reverb to die away.
Reverb Tone 00 to 99 Controls the ReverbÕs tone.
Reverb Diffusion 00 to 99 Determines the ÒthicknessÓ of the reverb (see below).
Reverb Level 00 to 99 Controls the output level of the Reverb effect.
Reverb is made up of a large number of distinct echoes, called reflections.
In a natural acoustic space, each reflectionÕs amplitude and brightness
decays over time. This decay is influenced by the room size, the location of
the sound source in the room, the hardness of the walls, and other factors.
The REVERB TYPE parameter lets you choose from these Reverb types:
Display Reverb Type Description
1Spring4Produces a ringing, resonant sound, which is a
requirement for vintage guitar applications.
2Dark Room Recreates the ambiance of a small room with many
reflective surfaces, but with a dark tone.
3Bright Room Similar to Dark Room, but with more high frequencies.
4Dark Hall Recreates the ambiance of a large auditorium or concert
hall that has a lot of space to fill, but with a dark tone.
5Bright Hall Similar to Dark Hall, but with more high frequencies.
Diffusion
Diffusion determines the ÒthicknessÓ of the reverb sound by adding more
reflections to the reverbÕs decay. At low settings, you can hear the
individual echoes that make up the overall reverb sound. At higher
settings, the echoes increase and blend, washing out the reverbÕs decay.

If the REVERB ON/OFF parameter is turned off, the Reverb effect will not be heard
(see page 35). If you adjust any of the Reverb parameters, the display will flash
OFF twice to indicate it is turned off.
4Sorry. Because this is a physically modeled spring reverb, you canÕt get the Òthunder
crashÓ effect when you bump into the amp.
