18. I cannot write to the USB disk attached to the Router.

Make sure your USB disk is formatted with the FAT32 file system. The Router cannot write to a disk that is formatted with the NTFS file system.

19. I do not see the Router in my Network Neighborhood.

Make sure the Router uses the same Workgroup Group as the rest of your network. Access the Router’s Web- based Utility. Click the Storage tab. Then click the Administration tab. In the Workgroup Name field, enter the Workgroup Name of your network. Then click the Save Settings button. For more information about the Web- based Utility, refer to “Chapter 5: Configuring the Wireless-G Media Storage Link Router.”

No data will be lost. It will be retained and accessible by users on the network.

How do I access the USB disk from the network if the disk is connected to the Router?

The Router will appear to be a computer on your network. You can browse for the Router in your Network Neighborhood and create mapped drives from the shares you have created. For more information on how to map network drives, refer to Windows Help or your Windows user manual.

What kind of file system can I use with the Router?

The Router supports read and write access to FAT32 file systems, and it supports read-only access to NTFS file systems.

Can I connect a USB hub to the Router so I can connect more than one USB disk?

Yes, you can use a USB hub to connect more than one USB disk.

After using SecureEasySetup, my existing wireless devices can no longer connect to the Router. SecureEasySetup uses WPA-Personal encryption. If your current wireless devices do not support WPA-Personal security, then you cannot use SecureEasySetup on your network. You will need to manually configure your network security using the encryption supported by your existing devices. Re-run the Setup Wizard. On the Welcome screen for the Setup Wizard, click Click Here to Start and follow the on-screen instructions. On the Configure Wireless Settings screen, click Enter Wireless Settings Manually and continue to follow the on- screen instructions. To use the Web-based Utility instead of the Setup Wizard, refer to “Chapter 5: Configuring the Wireless-G Media Storage Link Router.”

How do I set up additional devices using SecureEasySetup?
