WHY CHOOSE A DIRECT VENT SYSTEM?

The American Lung Association discourages the use of ventless fireplaces for health and environmental reasons. They recommend homeowners choose only sealed, direct vent gas fireplaces to preserve indoor and outdoor air quality and to prevent by-products such as carbon monoxide, soot and nitrogen dioxide from entering your home. Sealed gas fireplaces also prevent excess moisture from building up in your house.
