Carefully position the ceramic fiber logs and twigs over the burner as shown in Figures 7 (MPD- 3328), 8
Proper twig placement is critical to prevent sooting. Twigs should be placed in the gaps between the flame peaks and should be positioned so that at no time they impinge the flames.

Electronic Appliance CheckoutTo light the burner, refer to the lighting instructions on page 14 and 15. Ensure the ignitor lights the pilot. The pilot flame should engulf the flame sensor as shown in Figure 12.
