3.Press “1” on the keyboard of the HomeGuard MS8000: one high tone is given to confirm.
4.Place the battery (9V) in the battery holder of the smoke detector. (Ensure that the polarity is correct.) The smoke alarm will send a radio signal to the base station: The LED on the sensor will illuminate briefly, and the base station will emit a short signal tone to confirm.
How to install the battery:
•The smoke detector requires an alkaline battery
•Match terminals on the end(s) of the battery with opposite terminal connectors on the detector. Be sure to insert the alkaline battery in the position shown on the detector.
•When terminals are properly matched, push the battery firmly in place until it snaps and cannot be shaken loose.
5.Even if you are using more than one smoke detector you only have to register the first one.
6.Press any button on your HomeGuard MS8000 keyboard to finalize the registration procedure. One short low tone will be given and the green indicator stops flashing.
Now the smoke detector is registered and ready for use.
You can test your system by pressing the test key on the smoke detector for more than 2 seconds.
