INTRODUCTION

Please read this instruction manual carefully and familiarise yourself with your new deep fryer before using for the first time.

Please retain this manual for future reference.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

-When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or personal injury, including the following:

-Read all instructions before using.

-Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

-To protect against fire, electric shock and personal injury do not immerse cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquid.

-Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

-When not in use and before cleaning, be sure to disconnect the deep fryer by moving plug from electric outlet. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the deep fryer

-Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug or after the deep fryer malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

There are no user serviceable parts. Repair can only be made by autorized personel

-Do not use outdoors.

-Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.

-An extension cord may be used with care; however, the marked electrical rating should be at least as great as the electrical rating of this appliance. Extension cord should not be allowed to drape over the counter or tabletop where it can be pulled or tripped over.

-Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.

-Do not use this deep fryer for other than intended household use.

-Be sure that the temperature selector is off, before plugging cord into outlet. To disconnect, turn the temperature selector off, then remove plug by gripping plug body and pulling it from the outlet. Never yank or twist the cord.

-Allow basket to cool before removing it from main unit.

-Do not use on carpet or vinyl table cloth.

-Do not energize unit without oil in the bowl.

-Do not get in contact with hot oil.

-Do not fill bowl with liquid other than oil. Do not immerse water in the oil, this will cause serious danger and the oil will be spitting out of the bowl.

-The lid can be cleaned in hot soapy water. Always ensure that the lid is completely dry before replacing the lid onto the fryer.

-If smoke should occur in the appliance, immediately unplug the appliance and let it cool off.

-Before pulling the mains plug, switch the temperature selector to the lowest position.

-Provide proper ventilation when using the appliance.

-The deep fryer can reach very high temperatures when in use. Oil and fat preparations might catch fire if overheated. - - Be highly careful never to leave your deep fryer in use for a long period of time. Remember to turn off the appliance as soon as the preparation is finished.
