Component Identification
Fuel Tank
Use regular unleaded fuel. Always leave about 1” of air gap at the top of the tank for fuel expansion to prevent seepage or spills.
Choke Lever
Move the choke lever to the CHOKE position to prepare a cold engine for starting.
Fuel Valve
Use the fuel
to turn fuel on and off to engine.
Chipper Funnel
Use the chipper funnel to feed leaves only.
On/Off Switch
Set this switch to On before using recoil starter. Set switch to Off to switch off engine.
Recoil Starter
The starter handle is located on the engine. Pull the starter handle to start engine.
Blade Access Hatch
Remove the blade access hatch to clean, remove, or sharpen the chipper/ shredder blade.
Discharge Chute
Chipped materials are discharged through this opening. It may be left open or the chipper collection bag can be attached to the chute.
Hardware Bag
This bag contains the assembly hardware, safety devices and chipper collection bag. Use the chipper bag to collect shredded or chipped material fed through the chipper chute or hopper assembly.

Chipper Chute
Use the chipper chute to feed longer and/or thicker pieces of yard waste into the impeller for chipping. Depending on the model #, the chipper/shredder can cut up to a 3” x 4” in diameter piece of wood.
Lawn Tractor or
ATV Hitch
Use this hitch to tow the chipper/shredder behind a lawn tractor or ATV (maximum tow speed is 15 mph).
