Installing the Informer-Mate™System On a Chair

Chair setup

1.Place the chair sensor pad on the seat portion of the chair (Figure 6). An additional cushion may be used on top of the pad for patient or resident comfort. If you use an additional cushion, test the system by pressing firmly on the top of both cushions.

2.Mount the control unit on the chair in a convenient location with the mounting clip or mounting strap provided.

3.Insert the sensor pad cable into the sensor pad receptacle on the control unit.

4.If you are using the Informer-Mate™Deluxe system, set the desired alarm tone by sliding the volume switch to position 1, 2, 3 or 4. If connecting a nurse call cable to the deluxe unit, the alarm, when sounding, will automatically be sent to the nurse call unit and the local alarm will be disabled.

5.Test the Informer-Mate™monitoring system before each use and inspect the pads and monitor regularly to make sure they are not damaged. Test the system by pressing firmly on the pad for 3 seconds. When you remove pressure, the alarm should sound. Reset the alarm using the 2-button reset.
