Freezing and storing food
–Do not season fresh foods or blanched vegetables before freez- ing. Only season cooked food lightly before freezing but care should be taken as the taste of some spices al- ters when frozen.
–Do not place hot foods or drinks in the freezer. This causes already frozen food to thaw and increases the energy consumption consider- ably. Allow hot foods and drinks to cool down before placing them in the freezer.

^Expel as much air as possible from bags etc. before sealing them to pre- vent freezer burn on food.

-freezer tape.
Freezer bags may also be sealed us- ing home heat sealing kits.
^Make a note of the contents and the date of freezing on the packaging.
Before placing food in the freezer
^When freezing more than 2 kg of fresh food, switch on the super freeze function for some time before placing the food in the freezer (see "Super freeze").
Placing food in the freezer
Food to be frozen can be placed any- where in the freezer.
Each drawer and separator plate can be loaded with a maximum of 25 kg.
When freezing large items e.g. a turkey or a large joint of meat, the separator plate in between two of the freezer drawers can be removed to give more room. This way food can be stored in the space of two drawers.
The bottom freezer drawer must not be taken out of the appliance.
