The Miele Turbobrush complies with all legal safety requirements. Improper use can cause both perso- nal injury and property damage. Before using the appliance, read the Operating Instructions carefully. They give information on the safety, operation and care of the appliance. Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.

Correct usage

~The hand-held Turbobrush must only be used for household purposes to vacuum and brush dry floor surfaces.

~Do not use on people or on

animals.

~The manufacturer cannot accept re- sponsibility for damage or injury when this appliance is used in a manner in- consistent with its designed purpose, or if the instructions in this manual are not followed. Use only as described in this manual.

~This appliance is intended strictly for household use only.

Child Safety

~Do not allow the vacuum cleaner to be used as a toy.

~Exercise extreme caution when using near children. Moving parts and suction can cause injury.

Technical safety

~Before connecting the Turbobrush to the vacuum cleaner, make sure the vacuum cleaner is turned off and dis- connected from the electrical outlet.

~Do not unplug vacuum by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord

~Turn off all controls before unplug- ging.

~Do not immerse the hand-held Tur- bobrush into any liquid. Clean only with a dry cloth or slightly damp cloth to avoid any moisture getting into the va- cuum cleaner, which could lead to the danger of an electric shock.
