Sound Projector

Positioning the TV

The TV’s built-in speaker array can be set up to reflect sound off the room walls to create a surround sound effect.

Center the seating area in front of the TV and at least six feet away.

Arrangements that give good results:

If the room is an odd shape, locate the TV to take best advantage of wall reflections.

Avoid locations that may distort sound reflec- tions.

Connecting the TV

To hear digital surround sound, the TV must be con- nected to a digital surround sound source. The sur- round sound source can be on an HDMI input or the ANT input (for some digital broadcasts). Other stereo connections will provide Dolby Pro Logic surround sound.

Manual Setup

Manual setup is available for all models.

Note: If you have already performed Auto setup, any manual adjustments will erase all settings cre- ated during Auto setup.

1.Press MENU and go to Sound > SoundPro.

2. Enter the room dimensions and layout information requested in the screen. To change measurements,

press or enter numbers using the remote con- trol’s keypad.

3.Press EXIT to exit and save settings.

4.Play some sample audio to check sound quality. If further adjustment is needed, use the Custom menu as described next.

Custom Menu

Use the Custom menu after defining the room layout.

1.From the Sound > SoundPro menu go to the CUSTOM menu.

2.Position yourself in your usual viewing location. Remain in this position, looking at the TV, while making the following adjustments.

Controls in the SoundPro > Custom menu adjust the TV’s sound output.
