Receiving a New Text Message

Note: You must set up the text message inbox before you can

receive text messages.

When you receive a new message, your phone displays New

Message X and gives an alert. If reminders are turned on, your

phone sends a reminder every ﬁve minutes until you close the

keypad keys enter the expiration period—the

number of days your network tries to

send unreceived messages

OK (+) store the expiration period

CHANGE (+) change the Cleanup setting

S scroll to the period of time that

messages stay in your inbox

SELECT (+) select the cleanup period

If you select Custom, continue.

Otherwise, the procedure is

complete.

S change the entry for the number or

label

S left and

right

switch between the number and the

label

DONE (-) store the custom cleanup period after

you ﬁnish entering all information
