setting up a text entry method
Multiple text entry methods make it easy for you to enter names, numbers, and messages. The method you select remains active until you select another method.
Press # in any text entry screen to select one of the following entry methods:
Primary | The primary text entry method |

Symbol | Enter symbols only. |
123 | Enter numbers only. |
Secondary | The secondary text entry method |

Alternatively, you can select a text entry method in any text entry screen by pressing M > Input Mode.
iTAP™ mode
Press # in a text entry screen to switch to iTAP mode. If you don't see j or p, press M > Entry Setup to set iTAP mode as your primary or secondary text entry mode.
iTAP mode lets you enter words using one keypress per letter. The iTAP software combines your keypresses into common words and predicts each word as you enter it.
