5.2 Global Radio Tuning Setup

A personal comp u te r (PC) , Wi nd ow s ® 95/98, and a global tuner program are required to tu ne the
radio. To perfor m the tuning procedures, the radio must be connec te d to the PC, ra dio inte rf ac e bo x
(RIB), and test equipment shown in Figure 5-1.

5.2.1 Initial Test Equipment Setup

The supply voltage is connected to the radio using a Motorola battery eliminator, P/N
AA0180305G54. The initial test equipm ent (Figure 5-1) control settings are listed in Table 5-2.
