11.1 IMPORTANT NOTE ON MODIFICATIONS

Intentional or unin tentional changes o r modifications to th e equipment must no t be made unless und er the
express consent of the party responsible for compliance. Any such modificatio ns could void the user’s
authority to operate the equipment and will void the manufacturer’s warranty.

11.2 NATIONAL AND REGIO NAL REGULATORY NOTICES

11.2.1 U.S. Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Notification

For 900MHz, 2.4, 5.2, 5.4, 5.7 and 5.8-GHz devices:
This device complies with Part 15 of the US FCC Rules and Regulations. Operation is subject to the
following two cond itions: (1) This devic e may not cause h armful interference, an d (2) This device m ust
accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to
Part 15 of the US FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference in a res idential installation. Th is equipment generates, u ses, and can radiate radio-frequency
energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with these instructions, may cause harmful interference
to radio communic ations. If this eq uipment does cause harmful interference to radio or televisio n
reception, which c an be determined b y turning the equ ipment on and off, th e user is encoura ged to correct
the interference by one or more of the following measures:
Increase the separation between the affected equipment and the unit;
Connect the affected equipment to a power outlet on a different circuit from that which
the receiver is co nnected to;
Consult the dealer and/or experienced radio/TV technician for help.

For 4.9-GHz devices:
The 4.9-GHz band is a licensed band allocated to public safety services. State and local government entities
that provide public safety services are eligible to apply fo r 4.9 GHz licenses. F or additional informa tion, refer
