Configuring TCP/IP in Windows 2000 or XP

The following instructions are for Windows 2000 or XP. For Windows 95, 98, or Me, see “Configuring TCP/IP in Windows 95, 98, or Me” on page 23. For a Macintosh or UNIX system, refer to your user guide.

1On the Windows Desktop, click Start.

2Select Settings and then Control Panel from the pop-up menus.

3Double-click the Network and Dial-up Connections icon on the Control Panel window.

4On the Network and Dial-up Connections window, click Local Area Connection number. The value of number varies from system to system. The Local Area Connection number Status window is displayed.
