Your radio restarts the 15 minute timer for locked state when you power up.

Turning the Password Lock On or Off

Procedure:

1c to access the menu.

2^ or vto Utilities and press cto select.

3^ or vto Radio Settings and press cto select.

4^ or vto Passwd Lock and press cto select.

5Enter your current four-digit password.

See Step 2 in Accessing the Radio from Password on page 76

6If the password is correct:

Press c to enable Password Lock. The display shows 9 beside Enabled.

OR

Press c to disable Password Lock. The display shows 9 beside Enabled.

OR

If the password is incorrect:

The display shows Wrong Password and automatically returns to the previous menu.

NOTE: At Step 6, you can also use < or > to change the selected option.

Changing the Password

Procedure:

1cto access the menu.

2^ or vto Utilities and press cto select.

3^ or vto Radio Settings and press cto select.

4^ or vto Passwd Lock and press cto select.

5Enter a four-digit password.

6If the password is correct:

^or vto Change Pwd and press cto select.

OR

If the password is incorrect:

The display shows Wrong Password and automatically returns to the previous menu.

7Enter a new four-digit password. See Step 2 in Accessing the Radio from Password on page 76

8Re-enter the new four-digit password. See Step 2 in Accessing the Radio from Password on page 76
