Learning to Use Your Phone

Tap Method Text Entry Rules

Press a number key repeatedly to cycle through its

characters. For example, you would press

one

time to enter “

a

”, two times to enter “

b

”, three times to

enter “

c

”, or four times to enter “

2

.”

•

After 2 seconds, tap mode accepts the character,

and the cursor moves to the next position.

•

The first character of every sentence is capitalized. If

necessary, press

S

down to change the character to

lowercase before the cursor moves to the next

position.

•

Press

S

to move the flashing cursor left or right to

enter or edit message text.

•

If you do not want to save your text or text edits, press

O

to exit without saving.
