Writing a new message
16 Menu: Messages*
Your handset can be used to send and receive text messages. These messages can be stored in a list with up to 10 entries.
There are normal and urgent messages which are signalled to the recipient in different ways. Every stored message is dis- played in the message list with the first few words of the mes- sage and can be shown in full length by means of Options
Read OK.
Every received message is marked with a time stamp†, and it is possible to monitor the time stamp for each message via
Options Details .
The following symbols in front of the message indicate it’s sta- tus:
Gurgent message
›normal message read
‚normal message unread
“transmitted message confirmed
Htransmitted message not yet confirmed
Imessage could not be transmitted successfully
Jmessages in the list downloaded from the PC
All entries in this chapter are started in idle state by pressing the softkeys:

Then select...
Options | until New OK F new text Options | Normal |

If the message list is not full, you can use the New function and enter new text. Refer to the key assignment for entering char- acters.
After entering the text and pressing Options, you can select whether it is a normal or urgent message. After pressing OK you will be asked to enter the phone number. If you press OK again after that, the message is sent.
