Skin Softening
Select smart portrait mode Mdbutton MFtab MSkin softening
Enable skin softening.
Option | Description |
SHigh | When the shutter is released, the camera detects one or |
| more human faces (up to three), and processes the image to |

| soften facial skin tones before saving the image. You can |
QLow | select the amount of effect that is applied. |

kOff | Turns skin softening off. |

The current setting can be confirmed by the indicator displayed in the monitor during shooting (A6). No indicator is displayed when Off is selected. The effects of skin softening are not visible when framing pictures for shooting. Check the degree of skin softening performed in playback mode.
Smile Timer
Select smart portrait mode Mdbutton MFtab MSmile timer
The camera detects human faces and then automatically releases the shutter whenever a smile is detected.
Option | Description |
aOn (default setting) | Enables smile timer. |

kOff | Turns the smile timer off. |

The current smile timer setting is indicated by an icon when shooting (A6). No icon is displayed when Off is selected.
