Select the vibration reduction setting used when shooting still images. Select Off when using a tripod to stabilize the camera during shooting.

B Notes About Photo VR

•After turning on the camera or after switching from playback mode to shooting mode, wait for the shooting mode screen to be displayed completely before taking pictures.

•Images in the camera monitor may be displayed blurry immediately after shooting.

•The effects of camera shake may not be completely eliminated in some situations.

AF Assist

Description

 

The AF-assist illuminator automatically lights up when

 

you press the shutter-release button under dim

lighting. The illuminator has a range of about 2.0 m (6

ft 6 in.) at the maximum wide-angle position and

(default setting)

about 2.0 m (6 ft 6 in.) at the maximum telephoto

 

position.

 

• Note that for some shooting modes or focus areas,

 

the AF-assist illuminator may not light.

Off

The AF-assist illuminator does not light.
