Storing a name & number

You can save names and numbers in the Phone book. Either use the method described in “Storing a name and number” on page 52 or the “quick save” method described below.

Quick save

Enter the phone number and press 6DYH. Enter a name at 1DPH= if you wish (optional), then press 2..

System

Your phone is capable of working in Residential, Private, and Public Systems (such as your Home System). You can choose how your phone selects a network to use.

This feature is 0HQX 5 in your phone. The default is $XWRPDWLF, which means your phone automatically

searches for networks available to you and chooses the

appropriate one. Every time you switch on your phone, it resets this to $XWRPDWLF.

If you choose 0DQXDO, your phone searches for net-

works, then begins displaying them. Your phone displays $9$,/$%/(= or 127#$9$,/$%/(= for the systems it

finds (You can not use 127#$9$,/$%/(= systems). Use the W key to scroll through the choices, and press 2. when you see the one you want.
