Taking a Closer Look: Playback Zoom

Pressing g(i) during full-frame playback mode (A 24) zooms the current picture in 3×, with the center of the picture displayed in the monitor (Quick Playback Zoom).

The guide at lower right shows which portion of the picture is enlarged. Change the portion of the picture displayed by pressing the multi selector H, I, J or K.

Use the zoom buttons with Quick Playback Zoom to enlarge pictures to the desired magnification ratio. While the image is zoomed in, the zoom ratio is displayed in the monitor.

The following operations can be performed while pictures are zoomed in.

Zoom in		Press g (i) to enlarge view of picture
	g (i)	currently displayed in monitor, up to	–
		about 10×.
Zoom out		Press f (h). When the magnification
	f(h)	ratio reaches 1×, the display returns to full-	–
		frame playback mode.
View other areas		Press the multi selector H, I, Jor K to
		scroll to areas of the picture not visible in	9
of picture
		the monitor.
Switch to full-	k	Press k.	24

		contain only the portion visible in the	46
		monitor.
Switch to	A/D/y	Press the shooting mode button to return	8
shooting mode		to the last shooting mode selected.
