Manual focus
If Auto focus is unable to lock, use manual focus.
1Hold down for more than 1 second.
When the focus distance selection screen appears on the monitor,
press íto select MF.
2Press Ññto select the focus distance.
3Hold down for more than 1 second to save the setting.
4Shoot.
5To cancel the MF setting, hold down again for more than 1 second
to display the focus distance selection screen.
6To return to the AF mode, press Éto select AF, then press .
Using the flash
Auto-flash (No display) :
Automatically fires in low-light and backlight conditions.
Red-eye reduction flash :
Significantly reduces the phenomenon of “red-eye” (subject’s eyes appearing
red).
Fill-in flash :
Always fires regardless of available light.
Flash off :
For situations where flash is prohibited, or when not using the flash.
Slow Synchronization SLOW1 SLOW2 SLOW:
Adjusts the flash for slow shutter speeds. In the top menu, select MODE
MENU TCAMERATSLOW TSLOW1, SLOW2 or SLOW.
Press the (flash mode) button repeatedly until the desired flash mode
indication appears.
