With the built-in tuner, you can enjoy AM and FM radio stations. You can store your favorite stations as presets for quick selection.

1	Use the [TUNER] input selector
	TUNER
	button to select either AM or FM.
	In this example, FM has been selected.

AM Frequency Step Setup (not North American model)

Here you can specify the AM frequency step used in your area. When this setting is changed, all radio presets are deleted.

1Press the [SETUP] button and

	use the Up and Down [	]/[	]
	buttons to select “0. Hardware
	Setup,” and then press [ENTER].

2	Use the Up and Down [	]/[	]

buttons to select “AM Freq,” and then use the Left and Right

[]/[ ] buttons to select:

10 kHz: Select if 10 kHz steps are used in your area.

9 kHz: Select if 9 kHz steps are used in your area.

3Press the [SETUP] button.

Setup closes.

Note:

•This procedure can also be performed on the remote controller by using its [SETUP] button, arrow buttons, and [ENTER] button.

Tuning into Radio Stations

■Auto Tuning Mode

	1 TUNING MODE	Press the [TUNING MODE] button
	1 TUNING MODE	so that the AUTO indicator

When tuned into a station, the TUNED indicator appears. When tuned into a stereo FM station, the FM STEREO indicator appears on the display, as shown.

■Manual Tuning Mode

pears from the display.

2Press and hold the TUNING Up or

TUNING / PRESET	Down [ ]/[ ] button.
	The frequency stops changing when
ENTER	you release the button.

The American model changes FM frequency in 0.2 MHz steps, 10 kHz steps for AM. For other models it’s 0.05 MHz steps for FM and 9 kHz steps for AM.

In Manual Tuning mode, FM stations will be in mono.

Tuning into weak FM stereo stations

If the signal from a stereo FM station is weak, it may be impossible to get good reception. In this case, switch to Manual Tuning mode and listen to the station in mono.
