SETTING THE SLEEP TIMER

If you selected a cassette tape, be sure to release PAUSE after you turn off the system.

To turn off the wake-up timer, repeat Steps 1 and 3. WAKE-UPflashes then disappears from the display to indicate that the timer is turned off.

Until you turn off the wake-up timer, the System 731 automati- cally turns itself on every day at the preset wake-up time and plays the last selected radio sta- tion, CD or cassette tape. If no CD is loaded in the last selected CD position, the system auto- matically selects the next CD.

SETTING THE SLEEP TIMER

You can set the System 731 to auto- matically turn itself off up to 90 min- utes from the time you set it.

1.Press DISPLAY/DEMO twice.

TIME and 00 appear, and SLEEP flashes on the display.

2.Within 5 seconds, repeatedly press MODE until the desired sleep time is displayed.

The first time you press MODE, SLEEP lights steadily and 90 appears, indicating the System 731 is set to turn itself off in 90 minutes. Each additional time you press MODE, the sleep time decreases by 10 minutes.

Note: If TIME disappears from the display before you finish set- ting the sleep time, repeat Steps 1-2 again.

3.The System 731 remains on for the length of sleep time selected, then automatically turns itself off.

To turn off the system before the sleep time has elapsed, press

POWER.

To turn off the sleep timer and continue using the System 731, repeat Steps 1 and 2 and choose a sleep time of 00 in Step 2.
