fig. 1 Before assembling appliance, remove two screws from the connector assembly. Remove cardboard
insert by pulling upward.
fig. 2 With ON/OFF switch facing the front of the unit, slide upper handle section over matching section
of the connector assembly. Insert short screw into top hole and long screw into the bottom hole then tighten firmly until handle is no longer loose.
fig. 3 Attach cord to cord clip by pressing cord above and below clip ensuring the cord is fully rested in
clip.
fig. 4 Insert plug on cord assembly into handle.
NOTE: Do not operate the unit while in the upright and locked position. Do not let the unit run while in any one stationary position for any period of time. Keep the unit moving while in operation.
For Easy Power Cord Storage
fig. 6 Wrap power cord around cord dump on Helping Hand® handle and cord hook on connector. Secure to "U" shaped part on plug
fig. 7 To release cord, twist cord dump located on Helping Hand® handle 1/2 turn. Slide cord off
handle.
To Replace Filter
Dust Bag
WARNING: Unplug cord from electrical outlet before servicing.
fig. 8 Unzip outer bag completely.
fig. 9 Pull bag cardboard collar to release bag dock door from connector. Bag dock door will hinge downward.
fig. 10 Gently pull bag cardboard collar upward out of the bag dock. Dust seal will close automatically.
General Information
Make sure disposable paper filter dust bag is in place. DO NOT operate the cleaner without a paper filter dust bag. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet and press the On (l) - OFF(O) switch on Helping Handle Assembly when ready to operate.
Up-Position Lock
fig. 5 Place foot on power head and lean handle back gently to release lock for vacuum use. Return
handle to the full upright position to engage lock.
Bag Installation
fig. 11 Slide the cardboard collar completely onto bag dock door.
fig. 12 Firmly push bag dock door with both thumbs on indication point until it snaps.
