Bosques, desiertos y colinas / montañas tienden a reducir considerablemente la recepción. Los techos de metal de las casas o edificios pueden limitar recepciones de interior para transmisiones y alertas. La recepción en las ciudades puede ser reducida debido al acero y hormigón, mientras que en lugares más elevados mejorará la señal. La recepción puede variar de una habitación a otra. El movimiento, incluso con pocos metros puede mejorar la recepción de la señal.

RECOMENDACIÓN Coloque su radio meteorológica cerca de una ventana, alejada de otros dispositivos electrónicos y en un piso alto de su casa.

CÓMO INTERPRETAR LOS MENSAJES DE

ALERTA NOAA

Este producto está equipado para recibir todos los eventos NOAA y del Sistema de alerta en emergencias (EAS) necesarios. Cuando el NWS envía un EAS, la pantalla de su radio mostrará alguno de los siguientes mensajes de alerta NOAA: “WARNING” (aviso), “WATCH” (atención), o “ADVISORY” (recomendación). La unidad puede almacenar hasta 8 mensajes de alerta NOAA.
