Ethernet Errors page items
Item Description
Port The port number corresponding to the selected switch.
Alignment Errors The number of frames received on a particular interface that are not an
integral number of octets in length and do not pass the FCS check.
FCS Errors The number of frames received on a particular interface that are an
integral number of octets in length, but do not pass the FCS check.
Internal MAC
Transmit Errors The number of frames for which transmission on a particular interface
fails due to an internal MAC sublayer transmit error. A frame is added
to this counter only if it is not counted as a late collision error, excessive
collisions error, or as a carrier sense error.
Internal MAC Receive
Errors The number of frames for which reception on a particular interface fails
due to an internal MAC sublayer transmit error. A frame is added to
this counter only if it is not counted as a late collision error, excessive
collisions error, or as a carrier sense error.
Carrier Sense Errors The number of times that the carrier sense conditions were lost or never
asserted when attempting to transmit a frame on a particular interface.
Frame Too Long The number of frames received on a particular interface that exceed
the maximum permitted frame size.
