Removing the Battery

Preparation

• Check that the camera is turned off and that the lens is retracted.

¬Suggestions/Tips ¬

1 Open the card/battery door.

2Slide the lock 1 to remove the battery.

•If you will not be using the camera for a long time, remove the battery.

•After the fully charged battery has been inserted for more than 48 hours, the clock setting is stored (in the camera) for 3 months after the battery was removed. (The time may be shorter if the battery is not charged sufficiently.)

If more than 3 months has passed, the clock setting will be lost. In this case, set the clock again. (P21)

•Do not remove the battery when the card is being accessed. (P17)

•The supplied battery is designed only for this camera. Do not use it with any other equipment.

•Be sure to remove the battery after the status indicator is turned off. Otherwise, the setting may be cleared.

3Close the card/battery door.
